Federation of Indian Muslims (FIMA) Hosts Grand Ghabgha Gathering 2026

The Federation of Indian Muslim Associations (FIMA) hosted a grand Ghabgha (Ramadan dinner) on 23 February 2026 at 9:30 pm at the Radisson Blu Hotel Kuwait, bringing together dignitaries, diplomats, community leaders, and prominent business personalities.

The programme began with Qur’an recitation by Ishan Ahmed, followed by Qur’an translation by Mr. Mubeen Ahmed (FIMA EC), who also efficiently served as the Master of Ceremony. The welcome speech was delivered by Mr. Israr Ahmed, Vice President of FIMA, warmly receiving the dignitaries and guests.

The event was graced by a distinguished gathering that included Sheikh Athbi Nasser Al-Sabah, member of the Kuwait Royal Family and Governor of Farwaniya, Indian Ambassador HE Paramita Tripathi, & ambassadors from various countries, diplomats, Kuwaiti officials, leading businessmen, and representatives of FIMA’s member associations.

FIMA President Kareem Irfan delivered the Presidential Address, presenting an overview of FIMA’s activities and community initiatives and highlighting the federation’s commitment to unity, service, and collaboration among its 22 member associations.

In her address, Paramita Tripathi appreciated FIMA’s contributions to the Indian community in Kuwait and commended the strong unity and cooperation among its member associations.

Sheikh Athbi Nasser Al-Sabah conveyed Ramadan greetings and appreciated community organizations for strengthening social harmony and cooperation in Kuwait.

The programme also included keynote Islamic speeches by Sheikh Hasan Taha on “Islam – The Religion of Peace” and Mr. Waleed Failakawi on “Ramadan – The Month of Blessings,” followed by memento presentations to distinguished guests.

The evening concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks and Duʿa delivered by Dr. Hidayathullah (FIMA EC), expressing gratitude to all EC, guests, sponsors, volunteers, and participants. The well-attended programme ended with a grand dinner, making the evening a memorable and successful celebration of unity, faith, and goodwill.
