Federation of Indian Muslims (FIMA) hosts grand Iftar gathering 2025

The Federation of Indian Muslims Association (FIMA) Kuwait organized a grand Iftar gathering at Crowne Plaza, bringing together dignitaries, diplomats, and prominent personalities for an evening of unity and reflection.

His Excellency Sheikh Faisal Al Hamoud Al Malek Al-Sabah, a member of Kuwait’s ruling family and Advisor to the Amiri Diwan, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was also attended by several high-profile Kuwaiti officials and dignitaries, including Indian Ambassador to Kuwait Dr. Adarsh Swaika, along with ambassadors from various other countries. 

In his address, H.E. Sheikh Faisal Al Hamoud Al Malek Al-Sabah congratulated the Indian community in Kuwait and expressed his appreciation to FIMA for organizing such a significant gathering during the holy month of Ramadan. FIMA Secretary General Mr. Siddique Valiyakath warmly welcomed the distinguished guests. Special Guest Mr. Kaizar T. Shakir, Chairman of the Indian Business and Professional Council, emphasized the significance of Ramadan and the spirit of togetherness fostered through Iftar gatherings.

Senior Engineer at the Ministry of Manpower and renowned speaker in Kuwait, Eng. Hussam Sulaiman Al-Mutawa, delivered the keynote speech, highlighting how Iftar gatherings transcend language barriers, uniting people through a shared sense of generosity and community. Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Duaij, Board Member of Al-Najat Charity, spoke about the deep-rooted ties between Kuwait and India, commending the Indian community for their dedication and peaceful contributions to Kuwaiti society.

Indian Ambassador Dr. Adarsh Swaika also addressed the gathering, praising FIMA for its initiatives in supporting the Indian community. FIMA President Mr. Kareem Irfan elaborated on the various programs the organization conducts with the support of its 20 member associations, aimed at community welfare and development.

The event was attended by prominent members of the Indian community, senior Kuwaiti officials, and government representatives, making it a truly memorable evening. The program commenced with a recitation of the Quran by Master Ridwaan, followed by a translation by Mr. Mubeen Ahmad. FIMA Vice President Mr. Mohiuddin concluded the gathering with a vote of thanks, marking the end of a successful and meaningful event.
